Well friends, it's been a great 4 years running colourblind.ca. I started this website in grade 11 as a hobby, and now, as I approach my final year in university, it's amazing to look back and see how this website paved the way to my post-secondary studies, career and lifelong passion.Now, it's time to move to the next step. I have been working very hard alongside some friends to put together a website that presents ALL of my creative work, including graphic design, exploration, and soon, video and motion.I want to express my deepest gratitude to all of you for your continuous support and encouragement over the last 4 years, I would not be where I am without you! I'm working with a new computer technique here, try to guess what it is... update 1: it's not HDR... update 2: stitching was part of it, but it's nothing I haven't done before... update 3: no background/foreground stitching was used, nor a tilt/shift lens, but good guess ;) this is the original image from my last post. I used a technology called content-aware scaling which is now available in Photoshop CS4. it allows you to compress the image to different dimension, without distorting the detail. what I find useful with this technology is that I can now show a large amount of detail - in a panorama for example - in a standard frame size that can all be seen at once.
